2003 - Pinehurst

2002 - Grand Rapids

The PGA began in 2002 in Grand Rapids, MI. It started as one weekend to simply get together to play some golf. One Courtyard Inn sheet of paper described the games to be played throughout the weekend. Nobody realized the tradition that was about to be born.

Four rounds were played in three days. The term switcheroo was born. Too many games were created to calculate scores. Chips were dropped on camera. Some player's voices were slightly annoying.

While the 2002 championship was low key, there is still video footage to look back on what started the PGA Championship!

Scorecard

This is the closest thing to a scorecard still in existance, leading some to question Scott's 2002 championship.
